Jimmy and The Machine are here to give you their predictions and same game multi tips for each game this round!
Western Bulldogs vs. Hawthorn
Thursday, June 5 – Marvel
Jimmy’s Prediction: Bulldogs by 23
Starting the round this week we’ve got the Bulldogs at home taking on the Bollywood Hawks. Or indie student film Hawks at this stage. They’ve been very lacklustre of late, maybe not as much of a rabble as Sydney, but very average and disorganised.
Bulldogs on the other hand, have been very good and strongly competitive in each game. After a week off to iron out some soreness, plus with Treloar possibly making a return – they’ll be tough to beat.
Even if Hawks were flying high at the minute, I’d still be backing the Doggies in this hit out.
Bulldogs comfortably.

Adelaide vs. Brisbane
Friday, 6 June – Adelaide Oval
Jimmy’s Prediction: Adelaide by 12
This is a decent hit out on paper, however the Lions have still just been trotting through this season (successfully though) without getting into a full gallop. Although interestingly enough, they have been playing better outside of Brisbane this year, with their home ground advantage being more of a curse.
The Crows are having a hell of a season, with a wealth of forwards kicking bags each week – with Rachele being the flavour of the month. After dismantling Sydney up in Sydney last round, they’d be the safe bet at home.
Going by recent form I’m going to have to go Adelaide. Although, Brisbane are one of the best teams on their day and if they bring it, it could very much be an upset.
Adelaide, in a tough one.

Richmond vs. Sydney
Saturday, June 7 – MCG
Jimmy’s Prediction: Richmond by 15
This is a legit opportunity for the lowly reigning wooden spooners, to bin the reigning grand finalists. The Tiges will be absolutely gutted they let a good win slip from within their fingers after coming out strong against the Giants last week, to lose by 3 points.
Sydney are in all sorts. Getting absolutely pumped at home against the Crows by a devastating 90 points. One more loss and their season will be over – so they can’t drop this.
I think Sydney have already checked out, and are probably booking footy trip, or even considering a European summer.
Tigers in an upset.

Geelong vs. Gold Coast
Saturday, June 7 – GMHBA
Jimmy’s Prediction: Geelong by 16
One of the few difficult games Geelong will face for the rest of the year – so I hope Gold Coast beat the crap out of them.
The Cats had a fair scare from the Eagles last week for 3 quarters, but when everything clicked back for them they were back to their dominant self – and Jeremy Cameron probably played the worst 5 goal game in AFL history.
The Suns have had an almighty slip up last week losing to Freo – in Gold Coast. The Suns don’t lose at home and Freo don’t win away, so that was bizarre. When the wheels come off for Gold Coast, they seem to get panicky and way less composed.
Even though Geelong played terribly last week, back at the Cattery and after Gold Coast last week – I’m going to have to back the Cats.

GWS vs. Port Adelaide
Saturday, June 7 – Corroboree Group Manuka Oval
Jimmy’s Prediction: GWS by 35
The second game in Canberra this year featuring two of most volatile teams. Well mostly GWS, Port have only had a few standout games and been pretty useless otherwise.
Hopefully week off has given Port some time to get their heads and body right, after losing the last four games in a row.
The Giants nearly had an upset at home last week against Richmond, but ended up pulling their finger out after club legend Cal Ward career was possibly ended.
GWS definitely have the skill there, and I think, and hole, this was a wake up call for them to start playing consistent footy.
GWS to smack them.

North Melbourne vs. West Coast
Sunday, June 8 – Hands Oval
Jimmy’s Prediction: North by 10
The Spoon-bowl is finally here. Well, Eagles still pretty much have that wrapped up. But they looked good last week West Coast, and if they had another quarter of tenacity in them they could’ve pinched it from Geelong.
North and their 10 midfielders have enjoyed the week off, and had been in some pretty decent form coming into the bye. Only just losing to Essendon, beating Richmond, drawing to the Lions and a decent loss to the Magpies – but they’re doing they to everyone.
Should be a decent hit out, and no idea how a game in Bunbury is meant to favour North against West Coast – but going by their recent form I’m backing the North.

Carlton vs. Essendon
Sunday, June 8 – MCG
Jimmy’s Prediction: Essendon by 4
They used to be both a powerhouse, now they’re just craphouse. Both are plagued with injuries, but so is most of the league – a W here would only give either fan base false hope for finals.
The Blues have enjoyed a week off, after two ordinary losses back to back from the NSW clubs, Sydney and GWS. The wheels are well and truly off with Carlton, players hanging out for trade week and potential issues with Vossy.
The Dons played their best game in years last week against Brisbane and definitely have the Lions a scare, but the reigning premiers never really had to go to top gear. Repping a young and small team, it is very likely the big units in Cripps, McKay, Curnow and De Koning will have their way with the baby bombers.
I can see this game going either way, with the Dons jumping them early and rattling the already rattled. Or the big boys making a mockery of Essendon’s defence.
Going against every bit of sense, I’m backing the Dons to have momentum on their side and to cause an upset.

Melbourne vs. Collingwood
Monday, June 9 – MCG
Jimmy’s Prediction: Collingwood by 42
Kings Birthday showdown will be as exciting as the kings coronation. Melbourne were starting to show a bit of heart this season, but ended up getting steam rolled last week by St Kilda, so there goes their credibility.
The Pies are flag favourites for a reason. Their plug and play attitude and long list of players who just step up to the task needs to be studied. They’re playing like absolute marines, programmed to kill everything in their path.
The wheels will have to wobble for the Pies at some stage soon, but this week certainly won’t be the slip up we’re all waiting for.
Collingwood to smash them.
