Melbourne Victory vs Adelaide United
Friday, February 27, 2026 – AAMI Park (7:35pm AEDT)
Preview:
In a bit do an arm wrestle, the Victory came out victorious against their rival, with Rodrigues sealing it at the 89th minute.
Adelaide also on the winners list after belting the crap out of Perth at home by a lazy 4 goals.
Should be a good shootout with both teams in solid form at the minute – but I think Adelaide have been more consistent, even though it is in Melbourne.

Auckland FC vs Melbourne City
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Go Media Stadium (3:00pm AEDT)
Preview:
Speaking of belting the crap out of a team, and beating rivals – Auckland really made a statement last Saturday night by pumping Wellington by 5, in Wellington.
City saw the other side of this, getting shown the business end by Victory and never looking dangerous. They have been quite lacklustre all year, and their spot on the ladder is really showing it.
Auckland are still making a surge for the top spot, and I don’t see City disrupting it this week.

Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle Jets
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Industree Group Stadium (5:00pm AEDT)
Preview:
After a week of, the Mariners kept up winning streak by binning the Wanderers – and are now 3 on the trot
The Jets also grew their lead at the top of the ladder by getting the W against Macarthur – less convincing than usual, but still 8 in a row sees them 4 points clear of Auckland.
The Jets are due for a humbling stumble soon, and I think there’s every chance the Mariners can slow this down for a stale mate.

Brisbane Roar vs Perth Glory
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Suncorp Stadium (6:00pm AEDT)
Preview:
Brisbane have been quietly dropping spots and games that their last win was against Perth. Last week was more of the same, another slow affair where they came out on bottom.
Perth will also have their tail between their legs coming into this, after an obliteration from Adelaide over in SA, which has halted their improving form.
Despite the belly up last week, I think Perth are on a path of turning a new leaf, while Brisbane are still slowly sliding down.

Macarthur FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Campbelltown Sports Stadium (7:35pm AEDT)
Preview:
Macarthur had a solid attempt at bogging down the Jets last week providing very little openings – but you can’t give Bayliss an inch, who mailed his chance and left Macarthur scratching their heads with 0 points.
The Wanderers continued their uphill slog and intent to hang in games – only to be crestfallen at the 89th minute to concede a third goal and miss out on the chocolates.
Western Sydney are due for their hard work to pay off at sometime, but I think they’ll leave this one frustrated as usual.

Wellington Phoenix vs Sydney FC
Sunday, March 1, 2026 – Sky Stadium (1:00pm AEDT)
Preview:
Phoenixs topsy mostly turvy season hit an all time low last week, after a 5-0 loss to cross country rival Auckland.
Sydney on the other foot, got the job done against Brisbane in a mainly dull affair – but could’ve easily ended in a mutually unhappy handshake.
Phoenix could definitely get the upper hand if they go aggressive while Sydney pass their options away – but overall I think Sydney will thread it well enough to get the W.
