Jimmy and The Machine are here to give you their predictions and same game multi tips for each game this round.
Wellington Phoenix vs Melbourne Victory
Friday, February 6, 2026 – Sky Stadium
Preview:
Wellington blew a good position last week, coughing up a lead and letting City pinch a point late. Victory also left points on the table, huffing and puffing but still getting rolled by the Mariners.
The Phoenix at home have to chill out defensively and stop turning games into chaos the moment they score first. Victory should keep it simple early, get bodies around the box, and not let Wellington run hot in transition.
This feels like a “who makes the dumbest mistake last” sort of night, but Victory look slightly better placed to edge it.

Macarthur FC vs Perth Glory
Friday, February 6, 2026 – Campbelltown Sports Stadium
Preview:
Macarthur were a bit wasteful last week, huffing and puffing and settling for a draw with Adelaide. Perth, though, pulled one out of where the sun doesn’t shine, pinching a big win over Auckland with a proper smash-and-grab vibe.
The Bulls at home should be looking to start fast and make Perth defend for long stretches, because that’s where Glory tend to crack. Perth will happily sit in, soak it up, and look for that one ugly moment where a loose pass turns into a breakaway.
Macarthur still feel the safer side over 90, even if Perth are riding a bit of confidence.

Brisbane Roar vs Central Coast Mariners
Saturday, February 7, 2026 – Kayo Stadium
Preview:
Brisbane got taught a lesson last week, getting knocked around by the Jets and never really looking comfy. The Mariners, on the other hand, did the absolute heist of the weekend — down a man and still pinching a win over Victory.
Roar at home have to be braver in possession and actually take shots when they’re on, because they’ve been too cute at times. Mariners will happily keep it scrappy again, slow the tempo, and try to nick one off a set piece or a mistake.
Brisbane should respond at home, but it won’t be pretty.

Auckland FC vs Sydney FC
Saturday, February 7, 2026 – Go Media Stadium
Preview:
Auckland were flying… until last week, when they got done late by Perth and left there fuming. Sydney, meanwhile, finally looked like Sydney again, belt-feeding the Wanderers in the derby and playing with some proper swagger.
Auckland at home should be all about control — win midfield, slow Sydney’s counters, and don’t give away silly set pieces. Sydney will back their big-game experience, press in waves, and try to punch holes early before Auckland settle.
This is tight between two top sides, but Auckland at home feel just a touch harder to knock off.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Melbourne City
Saturday, February 7, 2026 – CommBank Stadium
Preview:
The Wanderers got slapped around last week in the derby and looked fragile once Sydney got rolling. City weren’t perfect either, but they showed some spine, fighting back from two down to jag a draw in Wellington.
WSW have to make this a street fight — press, tackle, frustrate, and stop City playing that neat little triangle stuff through midfield. City’s job is to stay patient, keep the ball, and punish the Wanderers the moment they over-commit.
City should have more class over 90 and that usually tells.

Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets
Sunday, February 8, 2026 – Coopers Stadium
Preview:
Adelaide were solid last week but couldn’t quite put Macarthur away, settling for a draw in the end. The Jets are absolutely humming, rolling Brisbane again and looking like the most in-form side in the comp right now.
Adelaide at home need to be brave — get after the ball, hit early crosses, and make it uncomfortable for Newcastle’s back line. Newcastle will back their system, press hard, and punish any lazy turnovers because they’re ruthless at the moment.
It’s a proper test for Adelaide, but the Jets look like they’re finding ways to win no matter what.
